As the country goes into lockdown and a regional tier system, the Government has decided that the housing market will remain open for business. Let’s look at how this will affect you moving forward.
Alan Cooper Estates says it had been expecting more stringent Covid rules for agents during the looming lockdown and the regional tier system announced by the Government.
It has been confirmed that both the Sales & Lettings market will remain open for business throughout the lockdown, meaning that you are free to continue with your sale, purchase, current marketing and associated home move.
Estate agents, solicitors, mortgage lenders, surveyors and removal firms are all exempt from the lockdown rules. Therefore, we must make absolutely sure that everything is conducted in the safest way possible to protect us all.
It is everyone’s duty to ensure that we play our part in reducing the spread of the virus by following the current guidance.
Whilst we continue to work, the firms Nuneaton office will be closed to public walk-ins, although booked-in visits by clients will be allowed, as will physical property viewings and valuations.
Keeping safe
At Alan Cooper Estates, we continue to work hard for our clients in a Covid secure way.
We can still conduct safety first viewings using PPE, hand sanitisers and social distancing. Many of our homes now have video walk through tours for the more casual viewers.
We can also offer virtual and physical property valuations, although we will insist that the strict guidelines are adhered to for the safety of our staff and indeed yourselves.

We appreciate this is an anxious time for us all. This is why it is so important to trust the professionals.
